Introduction

In accordance with the Powys Local Planning Authority's (LPA) agreed Delivery Agreement (July 2022), the Call for Candidate Sites opened for six weeks between November and December 2022. The process enabled all interested parties (landowners, community councils, local organisations etc.) to submit potential sites to the Powys LPA to consider for the inclusion in the Powys Replacement Local Development Plan (LDP) (2022 - 2037).

The Candidate Site Register is a record of all those sites formally submitted to the Powys LPA and is a necessary part of the Replacement LDP preparation process to make public alongside the Preferred Strategy.

The Register itself provides a location map of the site, together with limited information that includes the Candidate Site reference number, site name, site area in hectares, settlement name, existing and proposed land use(s), Community Council area and eastings/northings.

'How to' videos have been prepared to assist with using the interactive map https://en.powys.gov.uk/article/13407/Replacement-Local-Development-Plan-Candidate-Sites
